Who I Am

SP Safer Solutions Ltd was established by Simon Pullin in 2018 to provide collaborative support to clients in the development of environmental, health and safety standards, provide EHS programme management and a practical approach to CDM compliance within construction projects.

My Experience

I am an experienced EHS Consultant and Principal Designer  / CDM Advisor with a successful track record in providing technical environmental, health and safety support to clients in the preparation and training of clear and robust procedures and documentation.

I have the experience of over 42 years within the construction industry to draw on with the last 20 years providing health and safety support to companies in construction, pharmaceutical and other sectors.

Approach

It is my belief that all work undertaken by contractors or individuals in construction or operational activities should be run and managed in a safe way, and any person involved has the right to work in a safe way.

My approach is therefore to provide a consultative and collaborative approach when working with companies or on projects. I will work with you to understand what you want and how it can be achieved. 

Services

Development of EHS Standards

Leading or supporting a client’s team in the development and delivery of bespoke environmental, health and safety documentation. I work with you to produce the overall Standard backed up with procedures and templates to make it a practical tool for the management of subjects such as:

  • Contractor EHS Management
  • EHS Event Management
  • Confined Space Entry
  • Hazardous Energy Control

Environmental, Health and Safety Training

Producing practical training material and delivering on the subject either at a customer’s premises or by video conference, on subjects such as:

  • Contractor EHS Management
  • EHS Event Management
  • Specific topics in Safety Risk Management

EHS Programme Management

Providing a valuable support to a customer’s EHS team in the management of programmes, including 3rd party providers of bespoke services such as:

  • Contractor Prequalification Programmes
  • EHS Animation Videos

Principal Designer / CDM Advisor

Providing experienced and practical support for UK construction projects complying with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations: 2015 (CDM). Undertaking the role of Principal Designer as part of the design team or working with the client as a CDM Advisor.

I specialise in design safety, providing bespoke risk and opportunity at design (ROAD) registers to monitor the design risks and work with the construction team through to completion of the project.

Construction Health and Safety Audits

For any construction project I can carry out one-off audits or regular health and safety inspections to ensure the highest standards in safety are being applied at a site level. 

I am also able to support contractors in developing their construction phase plans and safe methods of working.
